Hello Friends,

Well, It's been an interesting and exciting summer to say the least.
We played many of the local and prestigious festivals. Among them we're : Waterfront Festival, Young's Point,  Montreal Jazz Festival, Mt. Tremblant, Beaches Jazz Festival, Maximum Blues Festival, The Windsor and London Festival, The Southside Shuffle, and the Harvest festival. We opened for Johnny Winter twice and his brother Edgar Winter once.

I guess you could say it was a summer followed by Winters.
I can joyfully say that it was a great summer with many highlights.
But we really would like to highlight the hard work from all the people who make these festivals happen. Hat's off to you for keeping live music alive.

Which leads us to the NOW, and the FUTURE. I'm happy to say it's an exciting one. There are many shows coming down the line that I'm truly excited about. Without trying to make any show sound more or less important than another, because this is NOT the case.

Every show is at the top of the list. However it's not so often that we as musicians, artists or whatever label you want to brand on us, have the opportunity to share the stage and work together with our peers. But the immediate future of the David Rotundo band will lend to that opportunity.

It all starts with a Surprise gig on Oct 15th with Lee Oskar joining the Jerome Godboo Band at the Delta Chelsea. Moving along to Thorold Ontario where Jerome Godboo and I will be at the Canal Bank Shuffle together. And NOW, a last minute show has just come together for me and some of my musician friends at the GREAT venue known as Hugh's room.

Julian Fauth ( Juno award winner 2009) and myself will revisit our past, and play the way we did when we first started playing in bars 10 years ago, as an acoustic duo. Just piano and harmonica and two voices. The other fabulous guests will include: The Dave Murphy Band, Jerome Godboo, Shakura Saida and her guitarist Donna Grantis...Makes me smile just thinking about all that SOUL and SPIRIT in the room...

All the great musicianship and friendship amongst this cast will be a night to remember.

So, In closing, all I would simply like to say is I hope to see you there.
Remember these famous words from Dutch Mason
"Where ever you go, there you are"

Peace and Love will win in the end. Believe it !
David

P.S. In lieu of my recent email violation I would like to say a few words to that criminal, or team of criminals.
"He who steals my purse steals trash"
William Shakespeare

Thank you !
